2003 5.1 Surround Sound Residency & Trio Performance  of my piece "Contacts with a Higher Mind" at Havestworks

2001 Programming Residency and Performance Trio & 16 Channel Sound at Engine 27           

1986‑1993 Worked on creating an expanded drum kit, furthered my studies of Acoustics and Organology,

1984-1986 Played with the New York Indonesian Consulate General Gamelan

 
1977 Led my group The New Frontier Ensemble as part of the 2nd.  Annual Loft Jazz Celebration at the Ladies' Fort NY          

1971-1976 Started an experimental orchestra and produced a series of summer concerts to present my compositions:  "Total Music 1&2", "Ambiphonic Music 1&2” at the Washington Park Skating Rink         Boston Mass

1972 Presented my piece UFO #1 at the Old West Church  Boston Mass 

1972 Presented my piece "Ritual for Steel Drum Duo, Alto Flute, Alto Sax, Eb Flute, Eb Clarinet, Bass, Drums, Text and Multimedia (tape and Slide Projections)

at the Black Avant Garde Club Boston                           

1971 Presented my piece " Meditations in Sound Spaces" at the Boston Public Library 

 1968 Played in Charlotte Moreman"s 6th Annual Avant Garde Festival in Central Park 

1968 Played in Bill Dixon's Orchestra at the University of the Streets in N.Y.C.

 I am Leopanar Witlarge

     I started out as a painter then in later years expanded my interests to experimental methods in photography, video, music performance and composition, electronic music, computers, digital art, architecture and the design and construction of original musical instruments.

    I have been creating visual art, painting, in many media, including watercolors, inks, collage etc. since 1962

 Photography: experimental abstract and table top photography, and architectural drawings since 1962  

Performing and composing music since 1962  

Designing and making chimes, flutes, wind, string and percussion instruments since 1964.

 Creating Computer Graphic Art since 1999

1999 Took part in "Studio 305" group show at Cooper Union  

1995 Took part in-group show "Focus on Guyana" at Skylight Gallery, Restoration Corporation                                                                 

1984 Exhibited my paintings, photographs "Mountains, Dreams and Magic" at the Plexus Shuttle Theatre                                                        

1972 Exhibited my Abstract Photographs with the "IFE" Photographers Group at the Prudential Mall Boston Mass         

1963 Exhibited with the "Wandaik Art Group" at the British Guyana Information Service South America
